Imagine Green Urban Futures

As part of the “Imagine Green Urban Futures” project, lala.ruhr collaborated with the Places_VR Festival – with funding from the E.ON Foundation – to develop augmented reality applications for Bochumer Straße in Gelsenkirchen-Ückendorf. Three selected teams – pimento formate, GREENBOX Landscape Architects, and scenographer Anja Cambria Oellermann – used 3D data to transform a 120-year-old street into green, walkable visions of the future that visitors could explore via smartphone and tablet. Complemented by talks, workshops, and an international poster exhibition, the project tested the practical application of XR technologies for public participation and urban planning.
