We had a blast during our Playtesting for the Urban Experience Ruhr Bingo in Dortmund last week!
On September 23, we tested our new game prototype and gathered feedback together with participants from the Academy for Cultural Education NRW in Dortmund’s Unionviertel.
UER Bingo is currently being developed as part of an ongoing ERDF project by lala.ruhr, the Urbanisten, and the Bande für Gestaltung, and aims to help people better understand the city as a designed space comprising the built environment, urban art, people, animals, and plants. With the help of the digital city quiz formatted as a bingo game, participants are encouraged to perceive the urban playing field through a different lens. Location-based POIs allow players to discover new places, such as a bike path, a mural, or a unique plant, while conveying key insights on topics like building culture, soil sealing, and biodiversity.
If you’re interested in further updates, follow us on Instagram (lala.ruhr) or visit the project’s website.
Many thanks to the participants from the Academy of Cultural Education NRW for your time, your ideas, and your honest feedback!
We’re really looking forward to seeing how the project unfolds!☀️☀️
